Geneva Custom Shirts - Questions and experiences

I've been wanting to get a few shirts made and have read good things about Geneva here on SF and AAAC. Is it true that they do not produce a test shirt on your first order? If so, how was your first measurement? What is their selection of fabrics like? They seem to carry most of the better fabric makers, out of the fabrics they carry how much is their to choose from? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I've used Geneva once. Ordered 4 shirts. They carry Alumo, Thomas Mason and most likely other mills, just cant remember. They do pretty good work. Fit is extremely similar to MyTailor once you get the fit dialed in. At least this has been my experience.

There is a test shirt, but its made from one of your fabric choices. You wear and wash it 2-3 times and you can make some adjustments and Geneva finishes off the order. Geneva's minimums tend to vary, sometimes 4 shirts, 3 other times.

You can specify either thick buttons or their default MOP buttons, I like the latter.

Yes this is a pretty standard way of doing a test shirt and I do this myself, a sample shirt like charvet does is nice but obviously it's obviously more costly and a bit unwieldy to send back and forth especially if you make outside the U.S.
