Wealth envy. Let me tell you something about me, ok? I'm NOT rich; I'm a wage earner. I don't own (nor have ever driven) a car or other vehicle, I don't pay for a home (I earn my keep in other ways), etc. I do, however, like to visit Saks and Nordstrom's and buy 'fancy' clothes when I can get them on sale, and the simpler, year-round, not-made-in-Italy basics that don't cost so much (i.e., the $200 mirco-fiber, solid Armani Collezioni shirts). In other words, clothes are my indulgence.

I don't think I'm better than anyone else. Quite the contrary, actually.

I don't think expensive clothes are all that helpful with douchebaggery. When I need to act and look like a total douchebag, I find that reasonably inexpensive (OK, dirt cheap by the standards of this forum) and very loud clothes work best. For example, this $14 puffy vest!
