General Profile Question

I want to update certain aspect of my profile like my signature, but when I click my username after logging in I see this:
The rest of your profile will become visible after you've been active in the forums.
How many posts until I become "active"?

my account just became "active" yesterday at around like 18 or something posts... do mods look at prospective users to determine if they contribute enough to be active? my account is still on probation for some posts (like anything I put on the thrift thread)
