Buying new from them comes with fitting, life time adjustments, first dozen flats fixed freed, set up my cleats for life, and 15% off all merch. I'll pick out lights, computer, etc. and they'll install for free when they build it up.

I'm looking for a GPS enabled computer that I can swap between bikes.

Not some big color screen monster, but something that can track rides and do bread crumb navigation for when I visit new trail systems.

Weather forecast held so I'm on my way to Brown county indiana which is supposed to have amazing mtb trails.

Will spend the weekend riding, driving back roads, and hammock camping.

Integration. Will even run my lights. I'll probably add a fancy Garmin next year.
Hmm... I have the Ion Flare lights. Inconspicuous and simple. They don't seem that bright relative to other lights, but I have confirmed when encountering others who have them that they are visible from a huge distance. The white light is even passable as a headlight at moderate speeds.

Okay, what am I leaving out for my list of merc?

Shoes, cleats, pedals (done)
Helmet
Clothes (this is StyFo, right?)
Cycling computer
Lights
Floor pump
Chain cleaner, cog brush, degreaser, lube
Multi tool, chain tool, tubes, patch kit to include tire levers, CO2

I'm sure other things will come up but that should get me going without leaving me in the lurch I figure.

I've become a helmet-free idiot as I've gotten older. ?‍♂️

Cog brush and chain cleaner? I've made it over 20 years with just toothbrushes and rags. I think other things like chain checkers are kinda silly too, chains are cheap, may as well just replace at regular intervals.

I also tend to hate multi tools. Spare allen keys are preferable (to me).

Way easier just to keep your chain and cogs clean. Not only do things work better it also helps lengthen the life of your cogs and cranks. Replacing cogs and cranks means you either need to wrench it, which of course takes time and requires several specialized tools, or you pay the LBS for its bench rate. I'd rather just keep things clean, and even 25 years ago, the little clip on chain cleaner thing was an easy five minute thing.

Plus, who wants an awesome bike with a ****** looking drive chain?
