Can anyone help me find more info and possible value on this bike? It has a Brooks Seat and says Drysdale Special. I can't seem to find much info on drysdale though.

^ http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdispl...-and-Inquiries these guys will figure it out what it its, worth, and how to fix it. just post a ton of pics including serial numbers if possible. it looks like a track bike so it should be actually easy to fix since its a fixed gear bike (an a lot simpler) to begin with.

any suggestions for minimalist bike helmets? I like the bern helmets, but something even smaller/simpler would be nice

damn.. sorry to hear about the theft. speaking of which, i just bought a heavy duty chain lock for my bike.

Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboutit 1410 Chain. Paid $1.39 in cash and the rest in Amex points.. was wondering how to get the best use of my useless points and I found it! Retails for around $85 bucks on amazon.

That being said, I ordered an izip zuma electric bike, which should be coming in this week. That explains the heavy duty lock because I don't want it getting stolen :p

no problem. the classic and vintage people on bike forums are meticulous and knowledgeable and 99% of the time super helpful. looks like there was some serious interest right from the onset with that bike. nice to know you got some nice cash for it. i wonder how much you could of got if you put it to eBay abyss (especially if it was pimped in the proper forums beforehand) - from the looks of the desperate buyers on that thread it might of been crazy bidding. still selling it quick and stress free is a lot of the time a better way to go. there was a really long interesting story behind that bike too, that was priceless in itself since it involved your grandfather!
