Hi Guys

I have a couple of questions, I am close to ordering a few pairs but would like to know just how close their shoes are to Edward Greens in terms of 1) The weight of the shoe, I only own one pair of EG's (Walpole) but love the lightness of the shoe compared to almost every other RTW shoe I own.

Secondly how close is the G&G classic square last to the EG 888. The 888 almost fits me like a glove

Appreciate any feedback

G&Gs seem a fraction lighter still.

Tony G. designed the 888 last and says that most men should find that all the G&G lasts fit comparably since they were all made to the same interior dimensions. Most of my customers have found that to be true.

I own an EG 888 lasted shoe and 6 G&G TG73 and MH71 (square and soft squared last) shoes and boots. The roominess of the toe box is comparably equal on both makers

In comparison my Johnston and Murphys, Aldens and C&J fitted much different overall and in the toe box

Tony Gaziano informed me the toe box of all their RTW/MTO are the same regardless of front last shape

Keep in mind Tony worked at EG for a few years thus the weight of their shoes are comparable to EGs

Don't forget to invest the extra 75 pounds for lasted shoe trees
