True that the most popular sizes and styles were gone early (I got one but the other I wanted was gone between changing credit cards for the order), but there are still some available, such as the "Mitchell" in Midnight Blue Calf. The 10.5UK shows up as in stock.

Due to the sale online for G & G, the extravagant generosity of a dear friend, and in honor of my upcoming birthday (the number of which is scandalously high), I am now the proud owner of these lovelies. I could not be more pleased.

Hi, really appreciate the thread - I have been reading through most of it and looked at so many pictures of the beautiful G&Gs.
I was just wondering if anyone has played around with a MTO of hatchgrain on one of the Oxford shoes like the st. James or the Warwick? I was having the thought of mixing up things a bit with an espresso hatch grain St James II - formal enough for suits but certainly striking and casual enough for odd trousers. Just a bit scared of this not being ideal for suit or odd throusers at the end of the day.

Would really appreciate any thoughts/pictures on this :)

google Kudu, gaziano, girling. There are pictures on their Tumbler feed of St James II. They are beautiful. There was also a group MTO here years ago, the shoes were striking.

Thanks for locating the post. I expect to order the St James, II in the same leathers but in either blue or cherry

I got two pairs in the last end of the line sale, both in the deco last. I was surprised by how narrow and elongated the last is. It reminds me of the extremely pointy shoes from Finsbury, but not in a bad way. Then again, I am a fan of elongated lasts.
