understood, i'm talking about lasted/custom made trees. i have only one pair of hinged trees. vintage lobb bespoke. probably the finest way to treat your shoes and the finest i ever handled in regards of trees. high class. thanks to spoo to make it happen. ps: saint crispin's are in the same league. i just don't own them... my default are the three piece. imo, a step beyond the hinged. disadvantage: weight. to heavy for airplane travelling. not lasted: i use springloaded in loafers, trainers, sneakers. not in my dress shoes. let alone the noise is not appropriate for a fine pair of shoes. actually, i'm a tree maniac. i have more trees than pairs of shoes and i have a sweet spot for vintage trees, which i have than adjusted by my tree maker mr. kalman berta.if its really that beneficial, why do most bespoke shoe makers uses hinged trees? just curious.
