  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

It then you have a black derby. Derby is a casual shoe; black is a formal color.

Only black derby I’ve seen look nice at the 2 eyelet ones.

It’s the same with black denim, black motorcycle jackets or black penny loafers: Casual stuff that’s black. A lot of people don’t have a problem with it.

I think it works. The last is elegant, and offsets the casualness of a derby. Would be an instakop for me if it was my size.

To each his own...

I tried to hold out, but couldn’t resist picking up these Arrans. Brush marks and dust are due to my phone camera, not so visible to the eye.

Very pleased with them, but would be happy to hear any suggestions for what to do about the gaping quarters. Tongue pads, maybe?

They look good, I wouldn't pay too much attention to that aspect.

I have a pair of Edward Green Silverstone that are are similar style and they gape too. I think it is due to the swept back shape of the quarters.
