Just received my new Sinatra wholecuts on the TG3 last. Anxious to get these into the rotation.

Interesting to see the Sinatra`s here and the comments on St James II - have to concede that the St James's fit pretty well for me - the Sinatra`s for some unknown reason turned out to squeak and were one of the less comfortable shoes I've had - small toes squeezed and the creases uneven - for some reason the whole cut didn't want to mold to my foot, and it was the same last and size as the St James. Certainly hope the gentlemen above don't come across these issues. Maybe I had a bad bunch.

I have Sinatra and St James too.
Whole cut is also not fit for me.
Sinatra's instep is much lower than St James's.
I feel Sinatra is a lit bit narrower than St James.

The difference is Sinatra Wholecut has 6 eyelets vs 5 eyelets on St. James that’s why you feel the Instep is lower on Wholecut G&G otherwise the volume for the same last in the same size would be the same.

Anyone here still waiting for their order during the 24 hour flash sale to be made and delivered? Have tried to call the online shop and have sent emails to no avail.

Yep - I am. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and did get a reply from Karen stating it would (still) be 6-8 weeks from that point.

I had also arranged for toe taps to be installed and in my recent experience this adds on a good few weeks in any case.

It is too long to wait but still heavily discounted and so I'm still sanguine about it.

Can't comment on the quality of your particular pair, but my experience is that I've found a wholecut feels different to a pieced-leather shoe of the same size. And the rationale makes sense to me - the leather doesn't flex and give where it's joined by stitching; it doesn't have to be a significant difference in "give" to feel significant - the difference in measurement between an E and F width is miniscule, but translates to a noticeable difference in feel, for example. So much so that whereas I take a 9.5 E in a St. James, a Sinatra fits better when it's a 9F. And I'm strongly considering trying the same rationale for chelsea boots.
