Looking lovely - are these the Caldwell? And what last?

I think there was an SF MTO around December where these were an option and I'm still annoyed at myself for not joining!

You are right, it was November. This is the Caldwell with square Deco last, there was a London Boot GMTO at the same time. There are going to be some amazing makeups with the patinas coming very soon.

I just got in my London boots and two pairs of Burnham Chelsea’s. Two are still in the box but at work but my favorite is the Beluga Patina on 1 pair of Burnhams. Beautiful blending of brown and black that are a very versatile color.

Guys,

Did any of you have shoes/boots re-crafted by G&G? Would you share your experience with the forum, please?

I have not done any recraft but two options are 1.) mailing them to leffot if you are in US or dropping them off if you live in New York City. And they will take care of the rest. Will take 10 to 12 week and cost is 350$ usd. Option 2.) you mail the shoe directly to GG store & they will take care of it. Hope this help !!

$350 by using Leffot as a middleman?!! Woah.

Anyone knows the price that G&G itself charges if you happen to take the shoes directly to their Saville Row store for resoling? I'll be in London this July, and am hoping to take one or two pairs in for service.

£380(not to be confused with USD---ouch!) for both full refurbishing and shipping the shoes back to you.

This is what I was quoted when I asked G&G.

Thank you guys, to be honest, I was more interested in examples of re-crafted shoes. I heard that G&G also changes the insole of the shoe during re-crafting.

"The full refurb service implies a full resole, as well as putting the shoe back in the last in order to fully renovate the upper. The process is the following -not necessarily in this order though-:

The whole upper is stripped of polish, antique and whatnot, the insole is taken off along with the welt and the outer sole. The shoe will be relasted, and then all that was taken off will be put back on new, therefore new insole, welt, sole, and the upper is refinished along with new laces. Many Northampton shoemakers only strip then down to the welt and stay there, so we're quite proud of the quality and comprehensiveness of the service we offer as we'll basically redo the whole bottom of the shoe. "

Thank you. I read that also. I was wondering if anybody has actually did and maybe some examples.

Didn’t manage to meet Tony Gaziano in Singapore this week due to a punishing work schedule. But wore a couple of G&Gs this week. A textured leather week!
