Size question for your folks. I have 2 pairs in 9.5E. They are snug but good on width but probably a bit long. Would going down to a 9F give me the same width as the normal width 9.5 but shorten things up a bit?

A 9F will be shorter but will give a little more width.

Yes width for 9F, aka volume will be same as your 9.5E but your shoe will go down in length.

Thank you Sir. I have a test fitting pair on the way at the moment from the NYC store. My sizing adventure has been interesting indeed. I have lost LOTS of weight and gotten into shape over the last few years. My foot is settled into a comfortable US 11D.

It looks like I am settled on St. James II. Thanks for all your thoughts!

    Gentlemen,

I have another question for you. Exactly how wide is GG "F" fitting? Compared to other wide lasts?

    Thanks in advance.

G&G does a great job maintaining the proportions and balance of the look; however, for me, I can definitely notice a D vs. E vis a vis E vs. F. It feels loose.

    Sorry don't have actual dimensions...

What happenend with Nick? Emailed with him December about an issue I had with a pair, now inquired about MTO - he didn't respond for a week, now realized his email is no longer listed on the website and MTO section is "under construction". Also GG link from bespoke England no longer works ...

Not sure as a few of us have posted on the JL appreciation Thread that we are having difficulties reaching him as well regarding our recent orders. I did hear back from him last week that the shop and JL were closed for the holidays causing delays in shipping but dead silence since.

Hope the bespoke-england.com MTO link is only temporarily down since it's the best way to figure out your styling options for a MTO.
