There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Tuesday was St. David's Day. St. Patrick's Day is coming up.

But today - well, TODAY is St. James's Day.

Well, now, this is interesting: shoe trees are no longer part of a pair of G&Gs on their webstore. This will make the total within EU borders over 1000 pounds for the RTW shoes and trees.

Oh, that policy has been in place for quite a while.

Plus now they offer "D" and "F" widths on some popular models like St James II without MTO surcharge. One needs to wait 6-8 weeks though

I've been a bit inspired by some pictures of Corthays - I'm thinking of a full Deco Wilde in burgundy suede, or perhaps Deco Gatsby or Walktons spectators with burgundy vamp & rioja everything else. But I'm thinking this is for next year. Still have to G&Gs incoming.

I should caution you that the burgundy suede swatch was quite light in the store, much lighter than the burgundy calf - it was more akin to a dark dirty pink, IMO, than a proper burgundy (kinda like how G&G's "midnight blue" calf is nowhere near what I'd expect REAL midnight blue to look like). I'd personally recommend caution - ask for an actual swatch when you're closer to proceeding. A proper burgundy suede/rioja calf Gatsby would look spectacular, but the shade has to be right.

What G&G's do you have incoming?

Thank you for letting me know, grc1. If/when I'm still feeling the burgundy suede and ready to order the next pair of Gaziano & Girlings, I'll reach out to the Saville Row store. The few examples I have seen on G&G's MTO blog appear deep and rich - could be the lighting, could be individual differences between shoes and the swatch (from what I've seen, the skin/color examples in the swatches are unfinished and much lighter than the finished shoe product). Nevertheless, great advice!

Incoming, I have the the Vintage Cherry / Rose Kudu Walktons from Skoaktiebaloget, and Black Calf Deco Wildes from AH One Shoes.
