There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What d'you have in mind? Would be interested in a smooth-leather Thorpe or Isham.

I find G&G aesthetically more appealing than EG and MH71 last fits me way better than any of EG's last.

I also love the finishing on G&G's shoes. Vintage cherry and Vintage Rioja, for example, are two of my favorites.

Next step is to buy 4-5 pair of G&G

I see I'm getting a bit of a reputation for having a one-track mind.

Still, a deco Thorpe/Isham - were it even possible (and as far as I know it isn't) - is a step too far for me. Too much of a clash of style between the sharp deco lines and the casual-to-rugged aesthetics of the Thorpe for my taste.

But a Thorpe or Isham on the MH71 would definitely be of interest.

Something else to bear in mind - according to G&G's website there's no longer a surcharge for MTO's of non-deco models to be done on the deco last (deco models obviously command deco prices). So a Cambridge MTO made on the deco last carries the same price as if it were made on standard lasts, i.e. £1050 for EU, £875 for non-EU.

I would certainly advise you to do it. I think the Thorpe really works well on this Last. I'll actually have both of these, that is when my Ishams get here.

Agree - I have 2 Thorpes already, and the kudu Isham GMTO is on order, all on the MH71. Given they aren't decos (so have broader appeal among the SF crowd) and the derby lacing is more forgiving of a high instep, I've been happy to source them either directly from G&G stock or wait until there's a GMTO. I think that strategy will continue.

Agreed, and I actually have my second Thopre on the way. The Kudu version of the Isham and Thorpe were just too hard to resist.

Just came back from the Savile Row store having pulling the trigger on a couple (you guessed it) decos. :slayer:

There was a question a couple days ago about the difference in hue between mink suede and mole suede. I said I'd check, so in the picture below you have a mole suede Hollham on the right, a mink suede St. James on the left.

I'm sorry we'll miss each other! (My wallet isn't, though - I have a feeling we'd completely enable each other )

Just ordered a pair of Holdens in mink suede.

And spent way too much time trying to decide a Gatsby combo (a first of many - that model is pure sex). Finally settled on a vintage cedar calf/fox suede combo. Can't wait to see how it turns out! :slayer:
