Let's target something along those lines in E in a while. ;)
(vintage rioja smooth, mh71, haf leather sole, blind/hidden eyelets, no storm)

 Pantherella - picked them up at the Harrods store in Heathrow on my last trip. Not sure if they do XL sizing.

Cheers Pat. The amount of taxes/duties might be equal to a plane ticket.

So we have enough paid participants, correct?

Not sure if I would go for Rioja or not, but personally I would prefer Dainite.

Interested - will wait until rosewood Isham GMTO comes in to see how the haf sole looks and whether I'd prefer dainite. Or wensum.

Wasn't the Isham configured to come with the double leather sole?

    Can't remember!
At any rate, it'll be useful as a benchmark when deciding how a smooth-leather Thorpe would look with a non-Dainite sole.

It is double leather sole &. I prefer wensum over Danite sole.

V Rioja is awesome. Have Ishams in that shade, alas a tat too large for me.

I just received the Canterburies on Wensum from SkoAB. No experience yet in bad weather, and don't think I ever want to expose them to such, but the sole is very sleek and flexible.
Really great dress boots. Wonder why so many sizes are still available.

    This.

See above, no experience in extended wear yet, but Wensum for a dressy boot looks very good.

Wensum soles are nearly indestructible also they provide better traction than Dainite soles.

I can't agree with the latter point, but they do wear like iron and provide a bit of a softer underfoot feel than Dainite.

I prefer wensum over Danite for sleekness and they do very well in bad weather also as far as lasting in my case it will last life time just because of solid rotation.

I will defiantly do that Rog if I go.

I'm so freaking excited about this VOAK Thorpe on MH71 GMTO. I think I looked at all pics on the web and IG :).
