Apparently G&G are discontinuing mahogany shoe trees. Why would that be? I am not a fan of the natural finished option.

It's basically a hassle to stock several lines of shoe trees. We have five different colors. It's... challenging.

I should clarify, I don't know if that's actually the reason, just speaking from my personal experience as a retailer.
Good point, however I wasn't aware they offered anything but the one color?

I mean, I see business wise why they would streamline their process. The staining and laquering of the mahagony trees is an unnecessary step for them, when they can be done with just the natural finish.

I get it, but GG is killing me right now with their decisions and changes... :(

The Warwick is a beautiful balmoral. Grail worthy I think, and best probably in DG70 or MH71...

Yeah, the more I look at this shoe the more I like it.

That can be easily solved. Sell tablet then use the money to buy the shoes.

Here's hoping one of these GMTO's that I like gets off the ground before the end of the month.

Chances are looking slimmer however.

GMTO #5 G&G Mailman

A GMTO (with no additional MTO surcharge) for the G&G Rothschild would be 7040 SEK ex VAT per pair and where G&G lasted shoe trees are 1200 SEK ex VAT extra.

This price is only good until the end of February.

Let's Get This Done Before it becomes even more expensive.

Model : G&G Rothschild
Last : MH71
Soles : Ridgeway
Welt: Storm
Color : Chestnut Hatch Grain

This is a winterized version of Gaziano & Girling's classic Rothschild oxford. With a storm welt and Ridgeway soles, it's tough enough to get you through rain, sleet, snow, and anything else that the season may throw your way. Made in beautiful chestnut hatch grain, it pairs well with blues and greys.

Participants so far, for this GMTO:

@dddrees (E)
@CHRK33 (E)

Expressed interest

I saw antique gray in Bespoke England. I'm not sure if it's the same though.
