    Attention F-width G&G fans. We are hoping to put together a group order, and as you know, all widths must now be the same. So we of the slightly wide feet have to come together on our own GMTOs or else get perpetually left out in the cold. A number have already indicated an interest over on the Skoak forum. For any of you that don't lurk there a) what's wrong with you? and b) please feel free to express your interest here.

    So far we have the following members who have raised their hands for membership in F Company:

    @RogerP

    @Latecomer

    @Pbayvip

    @jrb666

    @nickrut

    @Faster

    @vorkanz

    @patliean1

    @Tallcane

    @stevent

    @Steel28

    Anybody else please sound off. No idea what will ultimately capture the interest of al least 6 members of the group as that discussion is yet to come. First we need to identify the members of the group.

    added;

    @bsmw

    @Shawl Lapel
    @emiristol
    @itraxx

    My Hove came from Robin / Oak Room today. Great deal, service and shoe. After a couple of snug G&Gs, this one is noticeably roomier.

    Congrats!!

    Pics?

    So was it more roomy because it was a derby, different size, or different Last?

    Thanks guys...figured this one had already been seen quite a few times. Great color on the hatch grain (very thick leather as well). All of my G&Gs have been 9.5E and I've had a snug TG73 derby and MH71 oxford. Other MH71 oxfords and boots have been perfect like this one, so really no pattern.

    I'm a US 10D and all of my EG and G&G have been 9.5E. If I try EG's 64 last again though, I might size up to 10E with a thick sock.

    Could you elaborate on the lasts or models so we can learn how these fit differently?

    There seems to be a consensus that all models fit the same here but I'm not finding this myself. Much appreciated.

    My slip on Barclay are perfect on 73, Lace up Harrow tight on round square (71?) and I've fitted into an Isham a half size down in a store and felt it fine though admittedly it was just a quick try.

    Would be interested to hear your experience and whether it's the Isham (above?) that has the most generous fit.

    Generally, I've found the width and instep of TG73 and MH71 to be about the same. The toe box of the TG73 did seem a little restrictive by the end of the day. For cap toes, depending on the length of the cap (and stiffener), I've had a couple with uncomfortable creasing. The MH71 Hove above fits exactly like my MH71 oxford Gables...which are perfect.

    Okay F Company - let's move toward the next step.

    Let me say at the outset that my goal is just to facilitate the discussion leading toward sufficient consensus for at least 1 GMTO. I'm no G&G expert - in fact I'm something of a newbie having owned but two pairs.

    What I suggest is that you each compile a short wish list of a few pairs you would like to pursue via GMTO through Skoak. Please suggest options you would actually go for if enough members are with you. This way we can hopefully see the models that have the best chance of being subscribed.

    Please also indicate preference for last, material, and colour for each choice - or if you are open to multiple variations on a given model, indicate that as well. Flexibility helps.

    If you have pics of the model you are proposing, that's even better for relative newbies like myself, and generally visuals help anyway.

    Top of my list is an Arran on MH71 in smooth calf, hatch or grain, reasonably open as to colour. I'll add a couple more but feel free to start adding yours.

    I have TG73 in both E and F width. While F width fits me better, I find the TG73 last looks much better in E width than in F width. I wonder if anyone have a photo of MH71 in both E and F width for comparison?

    I don't think it will get much traction but my immediate interest is in an F Width Black Calf Cambridge (or something similar) on the MH71 last.
