I am also a 8.5E on 606 last. I have a high instep and am slightly wide at the ball, so keep that in mind. I wear a 9F in MH 71 shoes and boots. Have tried 9.5E but those were too loose for my preference. Again, that's what works for my foot shape, ymmv

    Thanks a lot Flake,

Yeah, each foot shape is different that is way some other members told me to get 8.5 E size on the MH71 (same size that 8.5 E on 606) rather than 9.F size.

So my question is about the lasts: what diferences do you notice between the MH71 and the 606 lasts?. It seems from your coments that the MH71 it could be a bit shorter and with some less volume at the instep?. Maybe it is that?. Thanks again.

    Rat is bespoke only.

Arran in Hatch would be sweet, just look at that RC Chukka in the StC thread, something like that. What about Kudu if I'm able to source more (a big if)?

    Polo Suede I assume?

To be honest I haven't spent anytime looking at the various colors yet, but I know that color is mentioned quite a bit.

All my EG are 8.5E and on 202 or 606 so that's my point of reference. I find (for me) all G&G lasts feel shorter (heel to ball) and so I wear a 9 across all lasts.

Comparing EG8.5E to G&G 9E, I find G&G to be a little more snug all around. With my higher instep and slightly wide ball, I fit an F width best. There seems to be a little less toe volume vs 202/606 as well but that has not been a problem for me. In fact my E width G&G TG73 has plenty of toe space for me, despite being a bit too narrow for me otherwise. Personally, I find G&G to be less forgiving in terms of size than the 202/606 so taking your foot shape into account is even more important in getting the size right. There are several great retailers that post here who could help dial you in before you buy. Hope that helps.

With a Thorpe and Isham incoming, I think I'm Kudu'ed out.

So you think the Polo is the best color. Can I ask why if you don't mind?

I would be interested in an Arran in Hatch or Kudu.

Ummm, really reaching here, but I would go for a Connaught in Hatch or Highland grain...

Somehow I see this one getting repeated, maybe not the exact same colors but being repeated none the less.
