i would rather have them improve their quality of their product by implementing more handwork or customization while keeping the same price, especially when their former mto/rtw outworker now has its own quality offerings...

From what I've read, G&G used to share factory space with AS, but the two operations were separate. Alfred Sargent did not, to my knowledge, do any of the work on G&G's RTW or MTO lines...

I just assumed that was what he was talking about. I heard that in addition to sharing factory space, G&G used to use some of AS's machines, and in exchange G&G 'taught' AS some of their techniques... that could have just been an iGent rumor that I read a while back. For some reason I just remember their relationship as being more than just sharing factory space.

I had this from a source. Both companies probably signed a confidentiality pact however...

I have no doubt that this is true--it certainly make a lot of sense, considering that AS started producing that gorgeous fiddle back waist soon after G&G left the premises... Glad my memory did not fail me.

I know you would have. I feel that 9.5 is the best size to have around these parts. Despite the fact that it must be awful having such "smaller-than-average-sized" feet
