Can I trouble you to post a pic of them side by side? Having trouble deciding which one.

Not my pic, but it's my favorite comparison pic online:

Looks great. I think the Hoves looks a bit more balanced, the Dover's split toe stitching seems to stretch a tad too long onto the vamp.

It seems like everyone either favors the more country iconic style (Dover), or the more dressy/modern take (Hove). While i would like a Dover one of these days, between these two, i picked the Hove. The reasons you mentioned being part of it...

I tend to agree and think Hove is easier to coordinate. Dover is more casual and country, but  I also agree that Dover is Dover and it has its own place.

I own 32 Last Dover and MH71 Hove.  They are very different shoes.

Can I trouble you to post a pic of them side by side? Having trouble deciding which one.

Bird's eye view if 32 and MH71.
Forgive me for poor quality pics.

Most affiliate retailers on SF estimate anywhere from 4-6 months. You might have just been unlucky, and your MTO was delayed due to their new factory move & store opening. Maybe you should ask for an update...
Thanks. I asked for an update in May and I was told the shoes are just about ready, now the retailer isn't returning my emails. I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't put down a $900 deposit.

Guess I'll keep trying.

Who's the retailer?

I can empathize with you. That waiting was always my experience with G&G MTOs. In the end I just factored that service into the price and moved to another maker that delivers MTOs on time (on one order it was even a week early, imagine!)

Hang in there! You can try emailing the factory.

I'm contemplating my first G&G - black oxford for conservative business dress.

The million $ question - which last DG70 or MH71?
