id second this. i think that one would find that there are few and far between scenarios where one would be called out for the slightly less formal inverted cap toe over a regular cap toe.

Pair of G&G Wigmore boots on the TG73 that I picked up this weekend at Paul Stuart in NYC. They private label them there.

The size is an 11E and they feel pretty good when they are on but I'm not a huge fan of how the laces don't fully close the boot over the tongue of the shoe. I just don't find it that visually appealing. They do feel a little tight over that area too.

Think I should try going up to an 11.5E ? or is this kind of thing pretty standard with G&G? Can anyone with experience advise as this is my first pair of G&G (I also bought a pair of Burlington's in vintage cherry at paul stuart...pics to follow this post).

    Great looking boots, Congratulations.

I can understand why you might be concerned, however if it were me and I went up a half size I would be concerned that the fit of the boot would be too loose. However if you went up maybe you could fill some of the void by wearing thicker socks. Then again I don't think the gap looks that bad. In fact if you try other lacing patterns it might even make it look better.

    Will try relacing now.

Below are pics of the burlingtons in vintage cherry. These also feel pretty good, except also like the boots they do feel a little tight over the top of my foot and I'm wearing thin socks.

Sorry, forgot to add this in the above post.

No they weren't running discounts, but unlike Leffot, they had a lot of inventory (probably 10+ models) and sizes available.

re-laced. closed the gap up a bit more. i'm happier with the gap closed up more like this.

now the debate. the tightness over the top of the foot really isn't terrible and the shoes seem to fit pretty well in all other regards. am i over thinking this? will it break in and give a little as I wear them more?

lovely stuff, PCK1. i second the rec that you re-lace. i have found that with all my shoes, how they are laced changes the comfort across the top of the foot considerably.
