My Antibes came into the office today. Because they match my belt, I quickly discarded the AS Charltons that I got last week (Bodileys) and switched to these. Oddly, these 9Es are a bit tight. Beauties though. Hope they loosen just a tad.

Just got my first pair in the mail from Barneys in SF- where they still seem to have some supply.
Got the grants in midnight blue-9.5. The Walktons (9s) are still on their way.
The Grants are a little scratched up with some areas of mild discoloration. A bit disappointed. Is this typical for the Barney's sale? Or did I get unlucky?
I will likely be returning these in NYC in the next few days if anyone wants em.

What page these post is located depends on your settings, how many posts per page you want to see. I have 100 post / page i think so i don´t have to change page all the time, for me this thread is 181 pages long.

Didn't even know they carry grants, yea I would say you got unlucky. Though don't expect them to have a sell like this next time, they're discounting on carry GG. How bad is the discoloration?

I'm waiting to see how my pair coming today will look as well. At these prices, I am grading on a curve... :)

i saw the grants in blue in the NYC store, they are awesome. enjoy.

a good amount of the barneys shoes have had some shop damage, and i think the blue for some reason shows wear easily.

I will post pictures tonight.
I tried to buff with a little renovateur- not much improvement.
They are beautiful shoes. Not sure whether to keep or not.
Would love any thoughts.

My MTO Rothschild Vintage Cherry came in. Thanks Nick for the best packaging I've ever seen and beautiful photos.

Was that the standard cherry color or did you ask for different burnishing? My understanding is that cherry can be made lighter or darker shade. I believe nick already has Cherry Rothschild in stock so I am assuming you choose MTO because you wanted some customization.
By the way they are great and certainly seem darker shade of cherry.

Correct, not standard, it is darker. However, the photos make it look darker than in person. Burnishing looks darker in the photos as well. I asked for light burnishing and added the flush metal toe taps.
