There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

This is very interesting, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it is for a fair or needed reason, but for all intents and purposes it puts me out of the MTO game for a while.

You know what, that is a great point. The new pricing makes me want to consider other options...

Seems like things aren't going too well for the English makers. A couple of years ago Leather Soul told G&G to fuck off and more recently Geroge Cleverley. Now G&G were dropped by The Armoury aswell. Looking at these policies I can't really say that I'm surprised, this all smells like rip-off.

It will all boiled down to the mighty dollar, as usual. If there are enough people paying for it, they will continue to do it. Also, they may be well enough off in there RTW game that they do not have enough of an incentive to make MTO as affordable as possible. Maybe it's not a decent money venture for them.

    What do we need, six?

How about you mock up some of the most popular ideas so far and let's get this show rolling. Nothing like your mock ups to generate interest!

    I'd like to get:

    Cooper
    Gatsby
Gable - want this one in british racing green
    Rothschild
    Fairmont
    Wiltshire
    Uppingham
    Windsor/single monk
    Grosvenor/Mayfair
    Oakham
    Arran
    Another Wigmore

I think a GMTO Arran might be an easy sell...

So...if a bunch of other people would like to get down on any of these...i'm probably in

I'll see what I can do, what were the favorites that we needed visuals on?

    My favorites so far
Wigmore in dark antique cherry (open to other reds) with black hatch shaft
St James II in Rioja hatch
Uppingham in any flavor of darker brown you like

In addition, I think there was support for your blue on blue Oakhams, so I'd repeat those, and I believe I recall several interested in Hoves, but don't recall the details.

If there is at least x2 people interested in another proposed model & make-up, I'll try to work up a quick mock-up.

I'll repost the mock-ups I made for my proposed MTO's in a bit...

I posted this up in the Australian thread.

While G&G makes top class goodyear welt shoes. What I find strange is that a new company like G&G can charge more than EG even though doesn't have the same heritage and brand power. My only conclusion is the craze of igents on forums like this, driving the demand of luxury consumables.

I love GG's style, but this will probably be the only MTO I place with them this year (while we see how the new policies and prices pan out).

This also doesn't bode well for those that can't fit into normal width.
