There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

hmmm....maybe I just have very soft hardwood. It's frustrating because I don't want it to happen again obviously. Wearing on carpet doesn't do anything for my concerns as I'm worried about wearing these at a nice restaurant or at some other location that has hardwood and don't want to wreck their floors......but thanks for the suggestion clee.
Not sure what I'll do with the boots yet. Out of all my shoes I've never had this happen in my life, I'm 200lb but that shouldn't really cause this. Now it has with 3 of my 6 Gaziano and Girlings

take them to a good cobbler and i'm sure they can hammer them down a bit for you. I did this with a pair of mine, not G&G but the principle should be the same.

Did you take them in prior to wearing them?

May be a stupid question, have you wore them outdoors? A few steps on asphalt walkways will push the nails in and file them in for you.

lol; thanks for the tip brother, most def do not want to track poo in.
I haven't worn them outside yet just because I've had some issues with G&G fit, which is weird because my EG on a very similar last are so comfortable and perfect. I think I will be keeping them though and that was part of my query here, if I wore them outside would those nails get worn down with one or two wears. I'm assuming you are saying yes to that.

Yes, the weight of our body is stronger than any cobbler's hammer, I guess that's why no one else has this issue.

    cousin,
only way to prevent dog shit on your G&G are overshoes. keep a pair in your briefcase, just in case their's some laying between you and your destination

Namor speaks the truth. I don't have a briefcase, but in the car I keep GG, EG, and JL rubber overshoes for dog shit. You do have to use the proper overshoe for the proper brand, like lasted shoe trees.
