Didn't like that brown/black combo either. But as Christian B wrote, a dark brown or chocolate suede would make that boot so hot.

The best would be a dark brown, but not too dark, with a slightly burnished toe (like shown with the grain leather uppers at the top of the page), with darker suede upper that is close in color to the toe. :slayer:

Some examples with suede including one with more detail than usually seen on the Wigmore.

I have one like the top right in UK12.5E on TG73 last in dark brown calf and mole suede. Mint condition never worn due to my high instep, PM if you're interested.
