    since you have it . . . . i was considering double soul or maybe i should say sole.
    on 1 hand i can "see it' but also wonder if it might turn out a little chunky. have an opinion ?

    I think a single sole on the Cannes is fine. A double sole will make it too casual and odd looking since the vamp is shorter on this shoe.
    By the way, mine tore aboy 1/8 inch at the vamp curve. I was told they changed the design to correct the problem since I bought mine, but ask them about it.

    Like I said, the new design is better and will not split. This is due to too many factors (some my own fault), but this is one of the best fitting shoes I had from GG

    Yes. This leather polishes better than anything I've seen in 45 years or buying shoes.

    appreciate you confirming what i suspected on the soul. i do believe you are correct, i am gonna like that one A LOT.
    kind of expecting the top of the grains to take a fairly high shine, then drop down their sides a little muted.
