how is the DG70 supposed to fit out of the box? its tight but not enough to size up

Do not laugh when I write this, but these are probably the nicest shoes I have ever seen in my life. It makes my heart go faster.

Love the burnished black deco calf - it looks wonderful, as does the toe box, the angle on it is so chiseled. Do want some rounder lasts on the deco range though - semi-bespoke doesn't need to be so damn pointy

I've read in another thread that you have a C&J Belgrave,
how can you compare it to G&G lasts (70, 71,73), in the meaning of width and instep ?

I can't find where to try G&G, so have to compare it with something known.
Belgrave is in 337 last - same as my Clifford.

do the various lasts crease differently? i understand that they fit similarly and wonder if a particular last suits shell cordovan better than the other. my DG70 canterbury fits like a glove and I would love to get the MTO black shell Canterbury in a different last to switch things up. MH71 is calling my name but I want to minimize creasing across the vamp. If the DG70 fits like a close with minimal creasing, would the MH71 fit similarly?

I personally find they all fit very much the same right up to the widest part of the foot, and then from there it is only the shape of each style which is different going into the toe box.

Creasing is not such an issue on any of the lasts I guess.
