The pin grain is beautiful - have it as an accent on a pair of Oakhams.

For me personally I think it's just that G&Gs are so sleek and 'urbane'. This seems to somehow conflict a bit with grains and pigskins. Although some will certainly work.

I'm particularly fond of the mix of suede and pingrain - I think they've done some makeups like that in RTW. Check the Bespoke England site they have some RTW makeups in a few models. Even if there isn't a config you like it might help to see them to get an idea.

Those could either be Grants MTO on the TG73, or Sinatras with a Grant medallion.

Looking forward to seeing them 'on the hoof' in the Rock your Socks - or WAYWRN shoe and boot threaks.

    OMG, nice.

I got the Deco Cliffe in Vintage Cherry coming up soon. I think it will make 1920's Baby Jesus spank his Baby Monkey (blasphemy!!).

I don't know. I thought the deco was awesome at first, because it has this exclusive last, its own finish, but now it is just turning into another last that costs ~$700 more than any other last.

    Why so?

Perhaps that would be remedied if G&G were to introduce more deco specific colours

Isn't that what the Grant is, a Sinatra with a medallion? Are there any other differences between the two models?

Isn't there more hand work on a Deco than on the regular MTO and RTW stuff?

The standard Grant comes on the DG70 last.

The deco has more finishing, that's it.
