Here is a pair I just sold. They were very nice SJ II in Black Deco Calf made for Harrods. Apparently, Harrods decided to no longer carry RTW and only doing MTO, so these were made available. Beautiful shoe but decided not to keep them. Purchased in order to make sure of my size prior to ordering my own MTO. IMG_2062.JPG

Still waiting on my new Chelsea's to show up! Customs held them for a few days but looks like they will be delivered today.

I'm wondering how wearable the deco black ones are with a tux and ribbon laces :)

It would not be my choice for a Tux but who really cares?! If you like the look, most would have no idea about what is proper in formal attire other than a few snobs of the SF ilk who may look down their noses:hide:

Any idea on how they get that effect on the toe box? Just Strip the leather?

    Great stuff everybody!

@supern0va I love those black St. James! Truth be told, I'm not fond of black shoes in general but those are enough to turn me.

Is the problem the colour or the design? I was thinking in a dim ball room the deco black would look like a shiny pair of black shoes.

If I am not mistaken, they use a neutral coloured shoe and patina the rest of it black.

Thanks. Was in 2 minds when I bought it :p
