I can't speak for other but speed hook is a must for me 3 of them are fine. I had Enzo b boot with no speed hook they were super pain in ass. I ended up selling them I just got Canterbury mto with a speed hook look elegant to me.

Speed hooks sound dangerous. I'd be careful.

imo i think for a dressier boot no speedhooks is the way to go and it spoils the look of the dress boots by having speed hooks.

Do single mto with one or two tops three speed hook problem solved. Your pants will cover them my EG Shannon have them, my Canterbury have them and wingmore will have them also. It's personal choice as far as dressness goes check my IG for pic & it will speak for itself.

Agree, my next MTO will be a Canterbury with half speed hooks. It's a nice functional feature that will be covered by your trousers anyway.

Thinking about ordering these. Maybe suede on the shaft of the Wigmores.
Any ideas re. which is the best color suede to go with the Vintage Oak (minimal contrast)? thanks

WIGMORE - NO MEDALLION, MH 71, VINTAGE OAK AND OAK HATCH GRAIN

CANTERBURY - color and last unspecified, but looks like some kind of Oak Grain.

That's definitely on the agenda! Lol. Definitely. I'm not sure when. But it'll come soon - probably within the next year. Maybe 2. I have to debate whether I want to commission bespoke suits or mto shoes haha. The real answer is both but funds disagree, unfortunately.

Speaking of Burnhams. Vintage cedar today as I'm off to the airport. They're my go-to flying footwear.

Hey everyone. I know it has been a long time since i've been available on here, but I've got a lot of shoes to post for you guys to see on various threads from St. C, GG, Enzo Bonafe and even Mario Bemer. (got some other new stuff on the way too but I'll save the pictures until those bespoke projects are finished.)

Harrow in vintage rioja on GG06. I had to include the picture with the old GG trees because they just look amazing with this style and color.

Monaco in Chestnut Pin Grain on the KN14 last. I know that isn't normal for me to do a loafer but if there was ever to be one, it would be from G&G!!! I think the grain makes the shoe in this case.
