Well, I've learned something new. I've been using Saphir, predominantly the creams with occasional use of the M d'Or. I'll try the Colloni 1909 and see how that works out, and maybe test the Burgol sometime. Thanks for the info!

Very useful to keep in mind, thank you. I use the Saphir wax paste for the toe and heel boxes (i.e. areas that do not get creased through wear), although I use the Saphir creams all over the shoe (after Bick 4 conditioner). I haven't had crazy creasing issues, thankfully. Here's hoping continued use of cream won't affect the appearance!

Common guys, taking about conditioners when you have such a leather on your shoes cracking after 10 month?. . I think the leather of your pair is just really subpar.

I'd love to know how often these shoes are being worn, and how they're being treated.

I have far lower quality shoes than GG, that I don't condition/polish nearly as often as I should, that look better than the picture you quoted, after multiple years of wear...

^^^ Sweet. Can't wait to break out my pair but it still feels like midsummer here. Not that I'm really complaining.

I would contact the guys in London and get their thoughts. My guess is that they would be very apologetic about this because it should not be happening with G&G shoes.

I very rarely use anything else than Bick 4 these days on my G&G (quite a few pairs). I use some pomade or wax if the uppers are in really bad shape or have deep scuffs. A touch of polish on toe cap just for a nice shine. I only use a brush for removing dirt and dust, I use a cotton cloth for buffing. I'm not saying it's the best technique but my G&G look very good, even after years of wear.

I agree with the previous speaker that I find G&G crust holds up very, very well and is very supple after many, many wears and I don't think it has much to do with my shoe care skills.

Is five the minimum? If so, is everyone above still interested, and can we find another? If we agree on Skoak for the merchant, we can cross-post there for more takers.

TG73 is my preference. MH71 works for me too. Others' thoughts?

I would prefer square deco as a sleeker version of the TG or a DG could work well
