Sorry for the over sharing gents but I think these just go hand in hand with double indigo denim. Normally it takes me at least a month to wear new shoes but these were calling me.

They look beautiful! Mine were pretty stiff around the shin but after a few days of in the house wear they broke in nicely. Hope yours fit well!

    Timelessly beautiful
    Excellent trouser pairing!

How do those Wensum soles feel? Does the hatch grain have a soft feel to it?

I'm always worried about stiffness of stamped / textured leather.

I would compare the soles to a single thickness dainite. They wear similarly to single leather with just a bit more rigidity. I love the low profile look from the top and side perspective. Traditional 'double dainite' can sometimes command a casual presence while these, I feel, have more versatility.

The leather reminds me of regular EG calf. Where Utah/Delepre would have that buttery feel, these have a bit more heft to them. I find that by comparison, GG's calf tend to be a bit thinner where as this feels like there is some thickness to it, without conpromising comfort.

Was that helpful? Just my perspective.

Wore them for the first time yesterday and they fit great. I have the stiffness in the shin area as well. I think this is just the nature of the design until they break in. I have a pair of C&J Camberleys and they were the same. Theses might quickly become my go to boots. The museum on them is amazing.

Very helpful. I see a wensum sole chukka in my future for sure, and a wingtip hatch grain / calf combo makeup. Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome! So that's your third Burnham? How much extra for the medallion? And, as ever, enjoy them :)

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to best polish G&G's vintage cherry? Any preferred products to use?

Sapphire neutral cream man + sapphire renovator is all I use. I just follow hanger project direction & it's good to go.

Gentles, for any of you who reside in the US and who have ordered via G&G, how long does it take for US custom to finish the clearance process?

And how much do they charge? 10%?

You can also darken the toe area a little bit if you like the hue.

What shipper does GG use? My next order will be direct from them, so I was curious.

I know that G&G ships via UPS. If it is hit, how much do you pay?
