1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

    • Price drop 725 --> 650 (5-20-2016)
    • took a sizing gamble and lost for G&G. Right foot is killing me just after a few minutes of wearing the shoe because of the instep. Width is fine. Figured to try recover the second payment on the shoes before I tried to stretch them and possibly ruin the shoes.
    • So if you ever wanted to try G&G pig skin and did not want to pay for the extra surcharge this your chance to try them for much cheaper.
    • Gaziano and Girling
    • UK 8.5F --> from my experience, just a touch "wide" but not really
    • GG06 last, HAF sole
    • Model is Wells Derby
    • Black Pig Skin (only color available as non bespoke). Feels and loks like a textured calf leather to me.
    • Black pig skin is 200USD extra surharge
Brand new in box, comes with G&G box, and shoe bag. I did not get shoe trees from g&g for these
    • See pics for details. Shoes have not been worn other than to assess size.
    • 12 shipping in the USA (basically split shipping costs). PM for international shipping
    • No returns

I am not a leather expert but from what I have read pigskin is a nappier/more textured, usually softer leather. It is also thin and very durable. Overall I think it is also not as available as cowhide (even though I would not consider it rare or exotic by any means).
I think the biggest benefit is that the leather breathes very well (apparently has many tiny pores) but is also tough and durable.
In this specific case i liked the way it looked so I took the chance....and I lost on the sizing not the pig skin which I still like
Maybe EG makes pig skin shoes
