I didn't see anything like this stickied or on the first page of the forum (I'm lazy) and I wasn't sure where else it would be appropriate to post so I decided to do it up lol~

I recently thrifted a couple of sweaters, one pullover and one cardigan, by the same designer and with the same colours & pattern on them. I only have pics of the pullover because my boyfriend has the cardi atm.

I tried googling Guy Laurent but the only Guy Laurent I found was this Guy.

The sweaters don't exactly look like anything on his website.
Also, Guy Laurent is a totally common French name, yet the tag says "design Italien" and "uomo" instead of "homme"? [IMG]
Does anybody happen to have any idea where these came from?

Will nobody respond to the pleas of a damsel in distress?

Sorry for low quality pics, only had my phone with me at the time. Pattern is pretty much the same and the tag is exactly the same. The buttons also have what seems to be a small map embossed on them.

Nobody knows and nobody needs anything identified?
I guess I'm the only one that shops at thrift stores in SWD.

It doesn't matter what you think of them I just want to know who the designer is.

If it's not guylaurent.fr, that you've already posted, it could just be a generic department store brand, like what C&A or something would use. That's another thing I thought, these look like C&A sweaters from the late '80s.

BTW do you actually intend to wear them in public?

I'm not a boring ass straight guy (see: conservative heterosexual men especially those from societies where being different is frowned upon [see: probably you] ) who thinks that wearing a pattern more complicated than plaid is "daring" so yes. I rock that shit too.

Who did the spongebob sneakers btw? I wanna post them on here.

I did see some lurid patterned sweaters on discount in a local store yesterday. I wouldn't wear them myself though and not seen anyone else wearing them yet. I see plenty interesting garments here though, that I would never see in the UK...

...at work. From Mongol9, which is a local designer here in Xilinhot, opposite where I live. I've got several Mongol9 pieces now. Made in Beijing though, not Xilinhot.

Oh I'm sure there's many companies making those. Just search alibaba.com or made-in-china.com for "spongebob sneakers" or "spongebob shoes".

Ahh, I was hoping they'd be designer so I could make fun of how expensive they would be.

Was there an expensive Spongebob designer sneaker? Viacom might not allow their intellectual property to be used in that manner, and probably a good proportion of the Spongebob products coming from China are unlicensed. I certainly see more than enough of the wretched yellow cartoon character here, all knock-off. It's like Hello Kitty, another property that's been heavily abused.

That's totally amazing. Is it fully functional?
I can imagine an army of little girls dressed in pink camo carrying those and looking really angry.

Those are readily available in the US. It's just painted AK furniture.

LOL nice. It almost looks like it could be made of shiny plastic like something you would get at a dollar store.
