Gap "rigid denim rinse" "selvage" jeans

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with this question about Gap Japanese "selvage" jeans:

I'm not very familiar with raw denim. Are these like "shrink to fit" jeans? Will these bleed dye? Will they shrink in size? Will I be able to wash them like normal jeans?

i have the skinny version of those same jeans. they are a pretty low rise and i ended up fitting a 2" smaller waist size than i usually wear. try to find them at your local store vs. online--i found mine for 50% off a couple of months ago. you may have to do some digging as they tend to get mixed in with other piles of jeans, but these are easy to spot because of the selvage line on the coin pocket.

they are sanforized, so you can expect the same minimal amount of shrinkage as any other pair of jeans you've had in the past. also mine stretched out noticeably after a few wears (somewhere between 1-2" in the waist). bleeding of the dye onto fabric is minimal--haven't stained any furniture, carpet, or shirts but did notice a small amount of indigo on my shoelaces. you can wash them as normal (probably by themselves the first time to prevent bleeding onto other clothes), but people recommend to wash them less often and by soaking in a gentle soap solution and hang drying to increase contrast and slow down the fading process.
