Then get yourself in addition another dozen of Gallo socks in daring colours and/or patterns.
Kimono in Paris keeps me supplied. Liste Rouge sells Gallo as well, but that would require giving them any more of my money, and I get all Teplitz when I think of them.

Baddest-ass Gallos I've ever seen were in an issue of Monseiur (a cool french magazine, heavy on style):

+ Light blue with a subtle brownish stripe, almost woven into the textured lines of the sock

+ navy blue with burnt-orangish brown stripes

I'd really like to own some Gallos, but the only place I've found to view them online is at:

http://www.french-gentleman.com/bout...&code_lg=lg_fr

might help you decide on some patterns or colors.

Where the hell can you find these dress socks here in the USA??? I wish four in hand or another web business would pick up this line.

Jay Kos carries them and I've purchased several pairs of Gallo from Louis,Boston, too.

I've never had the pleasure of wearing Gallo, but I've seen some beautiful stuff from them, as here:

(all credit to uppercase, both the original poster and the man in the photo)

For the foreseeable future, it's handknit bespoke socks for me.

I looked for them at Jay Kos, but I only saw socks labelled Jay Kos....did you see socks labelled Gallo or are you referring to the former (the SA didn't know)? Thanks.

If they're made in Italy they may be Gallo, particularly if they have the particular stamp on the foot of the sock giving the size in Roman Italic font, inside a large white oval.

Confirmed with a different SA that the socks at jay kos are not gallo; they stopped carrying them after the move from lexington avenue. He said maybe Paul Stuart, but I was too lazy to go check.
