Excuse me if this has already been discussed but I made an interesting discovery today.

Its known that Altea makes ties for quite a few people, and it looks like I have definately confirmed one.

Thanks for the tip. NM private label stuff seems to be high quality. I've always been a fan of Saks private label too.

I'm not saying you are incorrect. However, it's not necessarily uncommon for different manufacturers to have the same silk, so they could potentially be different manufacturers. I notice that the NM tie is self-tipped, while the Altea one is not. Does the construction of the two ties otherwise look the same? Nonetheless, the fabric is probably a strong indicator of them being the same.

There's a whole city in China that runs off replicating the fabrics of ties based on samples of ties made in Italy and then affixing "made in Italy" labels. I'm not saying that is the case here.

If you look at the way the spine of the tie is constructed, and the sewing points in general, they should more or less match, that would clinch it for me. Otherwise its a case of the same silk.

Looks like you have a third one on the top left, are you starting a collection?

The same factory can produce many levels of make with the same goods.
