Why do ppl ask how much an alteration will cost when it's fairly obvious that the prices can and will vary drastically from place to place, let alone city to city?

+1, I flew from BUR to SFO via MUC on Lufthansa and got upgraded to first class from business. I slept the whole time, it was like a bed, made of cheese with free pajamas.
