Another vote for Airplane.

I went with friends to see Spaceballs when we were in Boston for a conference and one friend and I couldn't stop laughing from the very first scene. Nobody else in the entire theater was laughing; instead they were looking at us like we were crazy. Good times!

Also on my list of all time best comedies are A Shot in the Dark and Blazing Saddles.

Come on G. Les Visiteurs is Classic (I mentioned it earlier).

La Verite si je Mens is indeed hilarious but probably more so for a narrow niche audience. I also thought the sequel was great, partly because Gad E. was in it (though he wasn't as good as the others and I think the guy who played Dov in the first film was better) and he's a friend from long ago.

I haven't seen Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis but I heard it's also hilarious.

I'm more turned off by the years of annoying repetition of the movie's lines by everyone at every occasion, than by the movie itself. It's funny enough but I could never watch it again though, because of the million times I've heard beaufs scream okkkkaaayyy, etc...

I like Gad Elmaleh very much. He's agreat comedian and a decent actor. Did you meet in Montreal or in Morocco?

Les chtis is breaking the Titanic box office records in France. I heard that Will Smith bought the rights for a US remake...?

I was born and raised in Montreal so we met in high school and hung out with the same crowd during college when he lived in Montreal. His raw talent as a comedian (and impersonator) were evident even then when he would host small talent shows or just improv crazy stuff all the time. He's matured into a true professional and his standup routines are simply awesome. I missed him the last couple of times he''s performed in mtl. I haven't seen many of his films but wasn't that impressed with his performance in La Verite. La Doublure was ok.
