Four years ago this month, my sister died after a 20-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She had a very full life in a lot of ways, raising a daughter that she was hugely proud of, but eventually the disease just wore her down as, one by one, her faculties deserted her. (I think going blind in her late 30s was what hit her the hardest).
This weekend in Melbourne, there is a bike ride on to raise funds for MS research. I and some family members will be taking part, and are seeking donations. If you would like to help out, a donation can be made here:

I appreciate that this is probably only relevant to our Australian members. However, if you would like to show your support in other ways, the National MS Society (http://www.nationalmssociety.org/) always needs help. Every little bit counts.
