Functional Cuffs, Sleeves too long, soliciting opinions

Alright, so I stupidly had a suit made in Korea with functional cuffs. They came out a little long, but I got it 2 days before I was supposed to leave and didn't have time to make a return trip to the tailor, so I just took it. Other than that the suit came out fantastic, but the sleeves are quite long, swallowing up cuff on all but the longest of my dress shirts.

I measured them, and they are 1.5" from end of cuff to center of the first button. As I understand it from research I've done, 1.25" is the consensus standard, but I've seen 1-1.5" thrown around as an appropriate range.

That basically leaves me with 3 options, or some combination of the 3.

1. Shorten from end of cuff. If I did this, I would probably shorten all the way down to 1", but I might go 1.25" first and if still too long, go down to 1".

2. Shorten from shoulder. As I understand it, this is difficult, expensive, and risky. I'm leaning against this option.

3. Wear shirts with longer sleeves. I've tried this to decent effect. I don't think it looks terrible, but it doesn't seem like the best option. It would completely swallow a watch if I decided to wear one.

I'm leaning very heavily towards 1. Has anyone had a suit 1" from end of cuff to center of button? I have trouble visualizing how it would look if I shortened that much or if it would be noticeable at all other than showing more cuff.
