I wear a size 14 in most of the major brands of sneakers (Adidas, Puma, Nike, New Balance) and with that in mind recently ordered and received a pair size 14 Beeswax Clarks Desert Boot.
Thing is, they slip in the heel region and generally don't provide that comfortable of a fit since I can tell my foot is sliding around in there if only slightly but I like a firm fit with my shoes.
I recently read that Clarks tend to be a half size larger than the American Size they're listed as so right now I believe I'm wearing a 14.5 American size shoe!
Naturally, I looked for a 13.5 but it doesn't exist. The shoe jumps from a size 13 to a size 14 with nothing in between.
I really do like the look and feel of these Beeswax boots but it looks like a size 14 is not me even with an insole and double socks so I'm thinking about getting a size 13 (American size 13.5) in the same material. Even if its tight at first, hopefully the leather will expand to accommodate my foot and give me a comfortable fit.
Before I do that though I'd like to hear some opinions as to whether or not this is a good idea
Thanks
