Oh wait, those are the Deborah from the PS line.
Definitely not worth $455 CAD.

What else are you looking at? PS are definitely over priced at full retail, and the more basic designs don't get discounted as much in the sales.

On the other hand those green suede chukkas will probably go to 70% off!

+1 on the Loakes. On the same Pediwear site that was mentioned, check out the Royal model, they are longwings. They are a lot of shoe for the price (you wont pay the VAT if shipping to the US). They also include free shipping and a free set of shoe trees.

both very nice, but those are oxfords and i just have to have a derby.

those are very nice as well, but are plain on the top edge of the quarter. to me, that isn't as nice as the PS full-brogue quarters.

i've found a pair of vintage bostonians on ebay that fit the bill. waiting to hear from the seller if he/she'll ship to canada.

These from Land's End fit the bill, and are less than $100 full retail.

When i first saw them i disliked them for being "inelegant" compared to the sleeker shoes. I still love the sleek shoes, but longwings have grown on me a lot. I don't actually have some, but I really want some.

Obviously the Aldens are a bit out of your price range, but Florsheim do a pretty decent one that's not too expensive, and is certainly very cheap second hand. I think it's the only recent Florsheim to be SF approved. It's called the Kenmoor:

Incidentally if you're a size 8.5 i saw them on B&S a while ago.

Actually the Aldens are $435, which is less than the $450 Paul Smiths.

In terms of quality, I think either the Aldens or the Florsheim Kenmoors are probably better than the Paul Smith's.
