do you know if the sleeves can be shortened? i'm interested.

Oops, sorry, didn't catch these replies. I don't think the sleeves can be easily shortened because there is a wrist strap on the cuff to tighten and loosen the fit (see pic) which can't easily be moved — though it does provide a way to adjust the fit at the wrist.
