Hello everyone!

I'm new to this site and am the owner of SuitsInStyle.com. We focus on mens suits and carry brands such as Calvin Klein, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Sean John.

Please visit my site Suits In Style

I don't have a lot of stock up now, but am getting a ton in at the beginning of March. I also do catalogue orders for CK or Ralph Lauren, so let me know if you are looking for a particular style and size, and I can get you a price.

Being new here, I can do shipments via COD if you are in Canada. I also do Paypal of course or money order.

Let me know what you think!

Fair enough, am I that far off? I need this feedback, what about the other brands? From sites I've seen, this was a fair price.

The lower end brands like Lauren are often heavily discounted.

The larger issue on this forum is that these brands are rarely discussed because they are the ones from which people are trying to move up and away.

Lauren, in particular, is not a great choice. It is Ralph Lauren's lowest line of suits, below Polo, WAY below Purple Label or Black Label. Probably on par with Polo Jeans Co. (which, IIRC, in't even owned by ralph Lauren, but is licensed out). The suits are poorly made in China of lousy materials and can usually be found at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for $150 or so, making them Marshall's cheapest suit. That should be a red flag. Ck, kors, etc. are names that may well pique the attention of your average guy, or even your average GQ reader who is looking for something better than Mens Wearhouse, but StyleForum readers are a very different breed. Around here there is a distinct aversion to "household-name-brands" because its generally agreed that you are paying for the name on the label, not the quality of the suit. The most popular suit brands around here (look here for examples) would be unheard of to most of CK's clientele (which is exactly why they offer so much more bang for the buck). I'm wasn't trying to be harsh or snarky, those suits sell well, they're just not the brands that are thought of especially highly on this foum.

^^ Thanks for the input! I'm new to the site and with more reading, the suits I have are not in the same category it seems that this group maybe interested in. I'll have to look for other mens style forums looking for the typical brand name suits.

I'll try and re-price the Lauren suits a bit, hope the other ones are better priced in the market.

, you can definatly learn a lot about what makes for a high-quality suit by reading these forums, I know I sure have. Even if your target is a different market, it certainly can't hurt your business to be knowledgable about suiting (so as to help you sell the best suits Kors has to offer) Nice, user-friendly layout, BTW.

Thanks for the info! I believe that the market I'm after is exactly what you stated. Those looking for something above a Men's Warehouse customer, someone who wants a mid-level brand name that they've heard of before.

I hope there are some customers like that on this forum!

you know, you might try forums for jobseekers. I dont know if Monster.com or anything like that has a messageboard, but its worth a shot. College kids with internships or people just starting their professional lives would be the ideal market for these kinds of suits (a couple years later, of course, they'll discover StyleForum and start exclusively wearing fully canvassed suits with italian names)
