So can the inner layer be buttoned like a cardigan as seen in the lookbook pic?


Exactly. It looks a lot like a cardigan when it's buttoned across the front, but it's actually more of a scarf liner that buttons into the jacket. You can either wear the liner part open in the front and it will look like a scarf draped over your neck, or you can button each end of the liner into the opposite side of the jacket like in the lookbook.

You can also button the jacket itself, with a little bit of the liner showing around your neck, or remove the liner and wear the jacket by itself. Lots of ways to wear it.

It's hard to describe, so I can take better pics if needed.
