Sure, knee is about 8 1/2 and the cuff opening is about 9. I have 1 pair of these that I wear and they are pretty awesome.

Definitely the best value in jeans that can be found. IMO, the denim that RRL used from this run is far better than most sub-$200 denim on the market.

wasn't this when the woman from 5ep was in charge of rrl denim? i swear i read something way back when that she was responsible for all of their denim back then and that they fit similar to today's 5ep bootcut. however, please correct me if i'm wrong...

the denim really is exquisite. I had a pair from this run in the same size, but in the slimfit. I ended up flipping them to another SFer because it was too tight in the knee and upper calf.

Back in the crazy days? Have they stopped the bullshit?

that's what I gathered from my research before I got a pair. If it has elaborate back pocket stitching, you can trust the tagged size. Also, according to some, the legs of the bootcut and the slims were all but indistinguishable from one another on the 1st gen japanese, so subtle was the bootcut (the boots were supposedly tighter fitting though). Nowadays I believe the slim and the boot are 2 different jeans entirely.

But this is just what I gathered. Talk to someone like whodini or drizzt who both own 1st gen RRLs in both models.

How about the inseam measurements, how it compares with a Levi's 501 for example, I usually wear a 31x32 in 501s

This is Godmother from 5EP and yes, I used to do RRL denim back in the day ( 2nd Generation RRL ). It was that experience that helped me decide to go out on my own and do 5EP.
