All right. So let me ask you a question. Who was the man in the cape?

He was my lawyer.

Your lawyer wears a cape..?

Yeah. So what?

Who wears a cape?

He's very independent; doesn't follow the trends.

He looks ridiculous in that thing..

You have no eye for fashion!!!

Well, wearing an iverness cape in our days would not be fashion...

This is for the ultra traditionalists...

Sherlock Holmes used to wear a cape like this in tweed..

Was mostly used as a topcoat when wearing white tie in the dawn of the 20th century...

If that were a 46, I would love to have it! Would probably have to convince the wife, though.

As you can see it has two buttoned armholes so you can pass your arms through to reach the exterior...

How do you unbutton them with both arms inside ? mistery

I think that would be very fashionable if worn correctly on proper occasions, even by a younger guy like me. I had no idea Brioni made such a cape though - it's somewhat of a different style than what comes to mind when someone mentions an inverness cape and is more formal. I definitely like it.

Really an interesting and almost unique item.

In Houston, Tx., the Neiman's store and a store called A Taghi have nice selections of Brioni. But I don't think I've ever seen one of these in the stores.

I wonder if this is a special order item. As vintage gent said, the climate here does not make Inverness capes, a high demand item.

Do you think any stores, (think Northern Germany, or Scandinavia) carry these capes in their regular inventory?

Anyway, it's a neat item and I hope you sell it.

Order of magnitude, what are you looking to get? I might just be crazy enough to wear this.

Well, Robin, perhaps you should buy it and give it as a gift to Batman. A superhero can never have too many capes!
