For sale is a terrific double-breasted overcoat by Sartorio napoli. For some details on Sartorio's Kiton heritage, see this discussion:

http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...light=sartorio

The coat is in absolutely, never-been-worn-out-of-the-house, perfect condition. I purchased it, removed the tags and let it sit in my closet. So, since it seems I won't get around to wearing it, I thought I'd try to see if anyone else was interested.

An identical coat just sold on eBay for $800. See:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7423&rd=1&rd=1

Although I use world*class*consignment's eBay listing primarily as a price reference, I should also note what goes without saying - he takes a much better photograph. His photographs are much more representative of both the color and details of the coat.

So, how much? $700, shipped to CONUS. Paypal only. I paid more, but that's life.

The tag is marked eu50, and fits me (40R) very well.

Measurements:

Shoulder (seam to seam): 20"
Armpit to Armpit: 22"
Total Length: 40"
Sleeve Length: 25.5"

Thanks Connemara - I hope someone enjoys it.

The shoulders of the coat are much softer than they appear in some of the photos. They have very little, if any, padding--providing a nice natural shoulder.

Also, I really like the way the sleevehead attaches to the shoulder. It reminds me of the way my Barba shirt sleeves are attached. A very subtle, handmade look. Not roping, but rather a little fluted? Is that the right word?

It looks like "fluting" is what Manton calls it. see - http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/f...hlight=fluting I can't photograph the fluting effect because I don't have a model to wear the coat. If I can manage to photograph it, I'll post the picture. But, the pic below shows what I'm talking about:

This pic is also from Manton's illustrative thread on the neapolitan shoulder.

Price reduction!

I'll accept $650. This is the final price before I send it to eBay.

Thanks SFers!

I haven't gotten around to listing this coat on eBay yet, so it's still available. Any takers?
