Picked up this afternoon from 1948. Air Max 90. Brand new, never tried on. This is my second one in a slightly bigger size.

This Nike x Roundel by London Underground Air Max collection contains new twists on two classic silhouette’s, inspired by an iconic city landmark. It’s a well timed offering that coincides with Transport For London’s 150th anniversary celebrations and is appropriate considering the rich history of the Air Max range in London and now throughout the UK.
Much like the Underground, the Air Max has kept up with modern demands and this collection sees an introduction of Nike’s newest technology: Engineered woven Jacquard. The engineered woven Jacquard process is achieved through a sophisticated weaving technique that uses loomed Jacquard material to achieve a one-piece fit.
It’s a collection that represents the diversity, essence and unique style of the nation’s capital. Both shoes feature the unique and vibrant pattern from the infamous seat upholstery found in the Underground’s railway cars. Those of you familiar with the District Line will notice the geometric pattern used here, which was created by designer Misha Black and launched back in 1978. The embroidered tongue emblem featuring the “Roundel” logo completes the TFL makeover and in light of the special occasion each pair will arrive in custom packaging, featuring the distinctive moquette pattern.
